CPTC
The Collegiate Penetration Testing Competition (CPTC) is a red-team focused event that challenges teams of students to demonstrate their skills in ethical hacking and penetration testing. In this competition, participants act as security professionals hired by a fictitious organization to assess and strengthen its cybersecurity defenses.
During the competition, teams are provided with a target environment consisting of various systems and networks. Their objective is to identify and exploit vulnerabilities in these systems while adhering to ethical guidelines. Points are awarded based on the documentation of successful identification and exploitation of vulnerabilities. The intent of the competition is to simulate a real-world penetration testing engagement.
